Orals Preparation and Coaching


  
An orals presentation is one of the few opportunities federal bidders get to pitch their proposed solution directly to their evaluators.  This opportunity must be maximized via robust approaches and thorough preparation.  I'm experienced with orals in dozens of agencies, including FEDSIM video orals.  When teams have to solve sample problems and scenarios live, I bring my management and technical experience to help them prepare and be their best.  I can bring the most value when engaged early to also support win theme, solution and slide development.

Strategy and Solution Development

When all other factors are equal, a well formed strategy guides the solution to delight the customer.  A well formed strategy also helps teams focus their efforts on what matters most and makes dozens of decisions easier.  My services can either create a business or bid strategy from scratch or help refine and apply an existing strategy.  

Capture Management

Successful capture management involves many disciplines.  Using my 3 phase, 12 point Capture Solution Framework, I provide leadership and a multi-disciplinary approach to each and every opportunity that I lead.  I work closely with your team to leverage your talents, client insights, and existing investments to drive to the win.  Once the RFP is released, I stay hands-on during the proposal phase to ensure that the full value of your offer is presented to be clear, crisp, and compelling.

Proposal Refinement

No matter the level of preparation, once the RFP comes out and initial content goes into review, some section of every proposal isn't what it needs to be to win.  I am expert in not only managing proposal efforts, coaching writers with specific direction, designing sections, but also fixing content, structure and messaging that is "off the rails."  I run and contribute to color reviews that provide valuable guidance to writers.  My "horizontal review" approach makes proposals easier to score for evaluators while delivering your selling messaging better.
